Richard Glasstone MBE

Richard Glasstone is an internationally recognised master teacher and senior examiner of the Cecchetti Method, lecturer and author. He graduated from the Dance department of Cape Town University, South Africa and was resident choreographer and principal teacher at the Turkish State Ballet company from 1965-69 before being invited by Dame Ninette de Valois to join the staff at the Royal Ballet School where he worked for 15 years.

Mr Glasstone went on to direct the Istanbul State Ballet Company and then joined the staff at the Rambert School. He has written several books on ballet and contributed articles to the International Encyclopaedia of Dance and the International Dictionary of Ballet, The Dancing Times and Dance Now.
