Ballet Cymru is a company with a dynamic vision and a reputation for artistic excellence and innovation. We are looking for new trustees to help us reach an increasingly diverse audience and to reflect the wide spectrum of communities in Wales.
We particularly encourage applications from those who have a level of expertise and/or skills in any of the following:
The successful candidate/s will join a friendly board and management team who will provide the necessary support and opportunities to develop your skills in leadership and governance.
The role of the Trustee is voluntary but with many benefits, including excellent opportunities for developing your business leadership skills as well as supporting a growing charity and contributing to the creative arts sector in Wales.
Ballet Cymru challenges discrimination and promotes equality and diversity in dance and the arts. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of our community, including disabled, neuro-diverse, Black, Asian, or ethnically diverse. We also encourage applications from people under 40 who demonstrate the enthusiasm, drive and potential to develop in their role of Charity Trustee.
Above all, we value enthusiasm, openness, tolerance and fairness and commitment to the charity. In return, we offer a fantastic opportunity to support a dynamic and creative Welsh arts organisation during an exciting time in the company’s development.
Knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable, but not essential for this role.
For more details, please download the 2025 TRUSTEE APPLICATION PACK, or email Ballet Cymru’s Administrator Jenny Carter.
You are welcome to apply in Welsh, English or BSL; any application submitted will be treated equally. A 2-minute video is also welcome, if preferred.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview (either at Ballet Cymru or online) in the New Year.
Please contact us if you have any special requirements or access needs.
