Job Alert: Technical Manager

Ballet Cymru is seeking a Technical Manager to work on leading a team to produce professional ballet productions performing in venues across the UK and to support Ballet Cymru at its home studios.  

The Role 

The Technical Manager will lead, and be an integral part of the Technical Team, delivering the lighting for productions, maintaining standards, and developing performance. 

The role will be based at Ballet Cymru’s studios in Newport South Wales during the production and touring period and will involve helping to drive tour van to venues throughout the UK. 

Ballet Cymru perform in on average approximately 3 venues a week during the touring weeks.  

The ideal candidate must have practical skills, knowledge and experience of theatre electrical practice, practical skills, knowledge and experience of lighting and a working knowledge of current Health & Safety practice relevant to the role. 

Essential: eligible to work in the UK 

Desirable: 18+ with full clean drivers’ licence 

Dates:

Spring Season: Monday April 29th to Sunday July 21st 2024  (12 Weeks)  

Autumn Season: Monday September 30th to Sunday December 22nd 2024  (12 Weeks)  

Salary: £750 per week  

Discretionary Relocation: £75 per week for duration of project  

Plus discretionary allowances, holiday entitlement and company pension scheme offered.
