The 1-year full-time course takes place at the Company’s dance studios in Rogerstone, Newport, and with the easing of social distancing rules, we are able to have more dancers on the programme this year.

We welcome dancers from the UK and countries from all over the world, including Australia, Hong Kong, Sweden and South Africa. The young dancers of the future have all completed their vocational training in reputable schools, including The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Central Ballet School in London.

Welcome Caitlin Airs, Lucy Athorn, Xenia Balderstone, Louisa Bratby, Imogen Breaks, Tonia Cheney, Jordan Crewes, Emma Curan, Ethan Godwin-Whalley, Caitlin Gray, Amy Groves, Gabriela Langford, Matilde Marini, Ellie McDonald, Ellen Mulry, Phoebe Payne, Denzel Parsons, Kasia Sambrook, Montanna Springer, Emma Turner, Michelle Viani, Arabella Walton!

Ballet Cymru’s Pre-Professional Programme is for talented, aspiring and highly motivated emerging dancers with bold ambitions and is designed to facilitate the transition from full-time vocational dance training into professional company life in a focused, nurturing environment.

This full-time, intensive course provides opportunities to train and perform alongside the award-winning Ballet Cymru company, the exceptional chance to develop choreographic skills with performance opportunities, networking opportunities as well as workshops in grant writing, light and costume design, dance education and delivery training and CV enhancements.

You will be able to see these dancers perform at the Riverfront, Newport and the Dance House, Cardiff in March 2023.
