Light beams, laser pulses, symmetries, colours, and stretching cell bonds are some of the ideas which have informed the physical world of this work. Uniquely presented in both live and digital formats, and powered by an electronic sound score from critically acclaimed Welsh composer R.SEILIOG, the work is created for live theatre as well as immersive digital performances using motion capture and 360\u00b0 film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Into the Novacene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dechreuadau creadigaeth newydd a byd newydd. Mae Into the Novacene yn cymryd ysbrydoliaeth o ymchwil sy\u2019n cael ei sbarduno gan beiriannydd a gwyddonydd James Lovelock. Mae\u2019r gwaith yn chwildroi ynghylch them\u00e2u natur, dynoliaeth a thechnoleg yn cydfodoli fel un system. Roedd y pethau cyffredin, gollwng popeth a\u2019r dechreuadau newydd yn pweru ein harchwiliad. Mae\u2019n ddarn o waith am fywyd newydd a\u2019r dyfodol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The beginnings of a new creation and of a new world. Into the Novacene takes inspiration from research driven by engineer and scientist James Lovelock. The work swirls around themes of nature, humanity and technology co-existing as one system. The commonalities, the letting go of everything and the new beginnings powered our exploration. It\u2019s a work about new life and the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jack Philp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ballet.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jack-Philp.jpg\" alt=\"Jack Philp\" width=\"317\" height=\"308\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mae Jack Philp yn goreograffydd a chyfarwyddwr wedi\u2019i leoli yng Nghaerdydd. Mae ei waith yn dod o ddiddordeb mewn gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg ddigidol. Mae\u2019n dod o le o ddarganfyddiad, wedi\u2019i arwain gan y datblygiadau diweddaraf yn y byd o\u2019n cwmpas ac wedi\u2019i sbarduno gan gariad tuag at y corff corfforol. Nod ei waith yw cipio\u2019r gwyrthiau yn y pethau hynny drwy goreograffi egn\u00efol, lliwgar a chydweithredol. Mae wedi mynd a\u2019i waith ar daith gyda\u2019i gr\u0175p annibynnol; Jack Philp Dance yn ogystal \u00e2 choreograffu ar gyfer cwmn\u00efau a phrifysgolion ledled y DU; gan gyflwyno gwaith ar y llwyfan, ffilm ac i brofiadau digidol. Yn ogystal \u00e2\u2019i waith fel coreograffydd, mae Jack hefyd wedi gweithio fel cyfarwyddwr symudiad am ysgrifennu newydd, yn ogystal \u00e2 chyfarwyddwr ymarfer dros dro i Gwmni Dawns Cenedlaethol Cymru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Jack Philp is a choreographer and director based in Cardiff, Wales. His work is born from a fascination with science and digital technology. It comes from a place of discovery, lead by the latest advancements in the world around us and driven by a love for the physical body. His work seeks to capture the wonder in those things through energetic, colourful and collaborative choreography. He has toured work with his independent collective; Jack Philp Dance as well as choreographed for companies and universities across the UK; presenting work on stage, film and for digital experiences.
