Mae Q-fforia yn waith newydd a hanfodol ar y gweill gan dîm o bobl greadigol rhyngwladol, gyda chefnogaeth Creative Scotland, Dance Base, Theatr Clwyd, Citymoves, Pontio, Ballet Cymru a Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru. Wedi’i hanelu at bobl ifanc, mae’r sioe yn ymchwilio i hanesion personol LHDTC+ sy’n atseinio o fewn y profiad cwiar ehangach. Ymysg seinwedd curiadol a gwreiddiol a grëwyd, mae’r dawnswyr yn dod â’r eiliadau petrus, amrwd a gorfoleddus sy’n llywio hunaniaeth cwiar yn fyw trwy ddawns a thestun llafar dwyieithog.
Q-fforia is a new and vital work-inprogress made by a team of international creatives, supported by Creative Scotland, Dance Base, Theatr Clwyd, Citymoves, Pontio, Ballet Cymru and Arts Council Wales. Aimed at young people, the show delves into personal LGBTQ + histories that resonates within the wider queer experience. Amongst a pulsing and original soundscape, the dancers bring to life the tentative, the raw, and the euphoric moments that inform queer identity through dance and bilingual spoken text.
Angharad Price-Jones
Ar ôl cael ei magu ar arfordir Gogledd Cymru, symudodd Angharad i’r Alban yn 2010 i hyfforddi mewn ballet a dawns gyfoes. Ers iddi ddychwelyd adref i Ogledd Cymru, mae wedi gweithio fel perfformiwr gydag amrywiaeth o gwmnïau dros y 7 mlynedd diwethaf, yn fwyaf diweddar gyda Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence. Ar hyn o bryd mae Angharad yn gweithio yn nhîm Ymgysylltu Creadigol Theatr Clwyd fel artist dawns ac ymarferydd dawns gymunedol. Ochr yn ochr â hyn, mae Angharad wedi coreograffu ar gyfer cynyrchiadau theatr i blant fel ‘Gwrach Yr Iâ’ (Cydgynhyrchiad Theatr Clwyd a Pontio) ac ar hyn o bryd yn datblygu darn o theatr ddawns ei hun gyda chyd-weithredwyr Amy Longmuir a Ben Seal.
Angharad grew up on the North Wales coast and moved to Scotland in 2010 to train in both ballet and contemporary dance. Since returning home to North Wales, she has worked as a performer with various companies for the past 7 years, most recently with Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence. Currently, Angharad works at Theatr Clwyd in their Creative Engagement team as a dance artist and community dance practitioner. Alongside this, Angharad has choreographed for children’s theatre productions such as ‘Gwrach Yr Iâ’ (Theatr Clwyd & Pontio Co-production) and is currently developing her own piece of dance theatre with collaborators Amy Longmuir and Ben Seal.
