New Trustees Wanted

Ballet Cymru is a company with a dynamic vision and a reputation for artistic excellence and innovation.

We are looking for new trustees to help us reach an increasingly diverse audience and to reflect the wide spectrum of communities in Wales.

We particularly encourage applications from those who have a level of expertise and/or skills in any of the following:

  • Equality & Diversity
  • Welsh language/bilingual communications
  • Education & Training
  • Third Sector Management
  • Community Relations
  • Marketing & PR
  • Legal and Regulatory Practice
  • Sustainability and Environmental Management
  • People Management
  • IT and digital communications.

Ballet Cymru challenges discrimination and promotes equality and diversity in dance and the arts.  We therefore welcome applications from all sections of our community, including disabled, neuro-diverse, Black, Asian, or ethnically diverse.

We also encourage applications from people under 40 who demonstrate the enthusiasm, drive and potential to develop in their role of Charity Trustee.

Above all, we value enthusiasm, openness, tolerance and fairness and commitment to the charity. In return, we offer a fantastic opportunity to support a dynamic and creative Welsh arts organisation during an exciting time in the company’s development.

The successful candidates will join a friendly board and management team who will provide the necessary support and opportunities to develop your skills in leadership and governance.

We will also seriously consider applications from those who may not have the above skills and experience, but have the willingness to learn.

The role of the Trustee is voluntary but with many benefits, including excellent opportunities for developing your business leadership skills as well as supporting a growing charity and contributing to the creative arts sector in Wales.

The role is voluntary, and previous board experience is not necessary.

Knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable, but not essential for this role.
